April 4, 2007 To Our Valued Customers: We have all watched with concern and empathy for the animals affected by the recent developments with Menu Foods tainted food situation. We are also aware that many people have been perplexed by the media and its numerous explanations that will hopefully become clearer in the future. The reports would seem to suggest that wheat gluten is at the source of the problem. The suspect ingredient has supposedly been traced back to the raw materials that were sourced from a supplier in China. We at Riplees Ranch Feed and Pet Supply wanted to put your mind at ease and reassure you that our foods are not part of this tainted food scare. You can be guaranteed that our products are 100% safe. Riplees Ranch Super Premium Pet Foods continue to be manufactured in small quantities to ensure product freshness and quality. All ingredients for our products are locally sourced with no foreign sourcing of any ingredients with the exception of our lamb meal in our Gold Label brand which is imported from New Zealand. Our foods are manufactured in northern Alberta in a state of the art facility that has been producing quality cat and dog foods for almost 30 years.
